Only Members and their guests may play on the courts. Guest fees should be paid by the host member to the VFMRC Treasurer, PO Box 114, Valley Forge, PA 19481-0114 or preferably online from the reservation screen using a Credit card. Guest fees are $9/person/day; limit 5 visits for the same person during the season (excluding Friday Night Socials).
Proper tennis attire must be worn at all times; Shorts, Squirts, Shirts, and Tennis Shoes. Hard soled shoes, running shoes, and heavily-treaded shoes are prohibited.
Children < 18 years are not allowed inside the courts unless accompanied by an instructor, parent, or adult.
Access to the courts may occur through either the East or West Gate. The same combination will open either padlock and is subject to change from time to time. Please be sure to lock all gates when you leave.

TENNIS SHOES must be worn on the courts at all times. Basketball, cross-training, or other types of shoes and bare feet are prohibited. Please, no cross-training shoes – they are dangerous to a player on the court and they will damage the soft courts.
ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A SIGNED WAIVER ON FILE or HAVE ELECTRONICALLY ACCEPTED A WAIVER.
MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THE GUEST FEE BEFORE PLAYING. Guest fees are paid within the Online Reservation System at the time of booking the court using a credit card or a PayPal account. Note that VFMRC does not store any credit card information. Guest privileges are limited to 5 times a year for each guest.
GUESTS MUST HAVE SUBMITTED THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION AND ELECTRONICALLY ACCEPTED A WAIVER.
Players must SWEEP THEIR COURTS and CLEAN THE LINES after play. Please be courteous to the next players and allow 5-10 minutes at the end of your session to complete the process.
NO SMOKING or alcoholic beverages on the courts. Only tennis gear and beverages for consumption during the matches are allowed on the courts. No children inside the fenced area surrounding all courts except for those playing tennis under adult supervision.
LOCK THE COURTS WHEN YOU LEAVE IF NOBODY ELSE IS ON THE COURTS
Please limit use of cell phones on the courts to short conversations as a courtesy to others.

There are a number of standard tools available on-site for maintaining our Har-Tru courts. Please utilize them as needed and return them to the proper location when done.
Please sweep the court after play - in addition to cleaning court lines – as a courtesy to the next group. The appropriate brooms should be replaced on the fence between courts after use. Please watch this video demonstrating how to sweep properly:

After a light rain, it may be possible to resume play immediately. After heavy rains, especially during the first month of the season, the court surface may become softened by the rain. Additional rolling and several hours of drying time may be necessary before play can resume. If you begin to play after a rain and the surface begins to "clump up," stick to your shoes and otherwise appear disturbed, please use common sense and return at a later time after drying has occurred!
